Proprietor Chuck Rolecek explained to the Seacoast Scene how his years of restaurant experience have allowed him to perfect CR’s The Restaurant.

Fans of CR Sparks, the beloved Bedford restaurant that closed in 2010, can rejoice. It has been reborn, in spirit, by restaurateur Chuck Rolecek.
Rolecek’s newest endeavor, CR’s The Restaurant, is located at the site of the former Bontá Bar and Restaurant in Hampton. Step inside and it becomes clear that it’s no coincidence that this incarnation shares quite a bit of DNA with the former CR Sparks.

New Hampshire restaurateur Chuck Rolecek might not consider himself an artist but ask just about anyone in the Granite State and they’ll tell you his work is sheer genius. From the iconic CR Sparks in Bedford to his masterpiece, Hanover Chop House in Manchester, Chuck Rolecek knows how to create a culinary sensation. He recently “resurrected” the former in Hampton and this loyal fan of all his addresses made a beeline for CR’s Restaurant where I’ve had the pleasure of dining more than once since it opened in November. Chuck graciously agreed to give “The Barking Tomato” a hearty helping of Q and A.

This is more of an “early word” on CR’s since I did not wait for three weeks to dine here, as I normally would. They had things well in hand, however, and I went back to try more dishes and it was a pleasant experience in this new restaurant where Bonta used to be.
